When in Argentina a tango show is a must!
I booked this month's in advance. Dinner and show at the famous Cafe Los Angelitos.
I had been telling everyone on the ship about it and Jan & Jo booked too and they sat us all together so had some company for it too, which was lovely.
I was picked up from my hotel and taken, which was great as I didn't have to think about taxis etc.
Wow! What a stunning place. Beautifully ornate, staff in costume and great views of the stage no matter where you sat. We had a table at the side, but near the front.
Three course meal was brilliant. I had quinoa timbale with shrimp to start, which was delicious followed by steak. Oh my, the steak was enormous! I did laugh at the tiny piece of carrot placed on top as the smallest of nods to vegetables even existing 😂
Dessert was traditional flannel- like a creme caramel. Wine flowed, company was brilliant and was such a nice way to end the trip.
After dinner, the lights went out and the show began.
Wow! What amazing dancers, singers and storytelling. The Argentine tango is such an amazing dance to watch. It was simply a stunning night.
