West Point

Thursday 27th November

Today was our final landing in the Falklands. We went to West Point Island. It was quite a hike to the opposite side of the island, but we had to park the boat (don't know the technical term) on the east side as winds on the west are crazy 💨 and then zodiac to the little jetty.

The few km hike was worth it to be greeted by a clifftop colony of Black-Browed Albatross and rockhopper penguins all nesting alongside each other. It was quite the sight.

At the end of the hike back, the caretakers wife invited everyone into her kitchen & garden for tea and cakes. A very British way to end.

Thank you Falklands, you have been wonderful.
